Our Local Area

We are situated in the heart of Perthshire and and spoilt for choice when it comes to getting out and exploring what is on offer in our local area.
Whether you are visiting to relax, get out in our countryside to see our nature, or take part in some sporting activities you have come to the right place.

With over 40 Golf Courses which have public access in Perthshire you really are spoilt for choice. Our closest Golf Course is Rosemount which is around a mile away. Strathmore & Alyth Golf Courses are only 5 miles along from us and further afield you have St Andrews and Gleneagles.

Perthshire really has some beautiful walking routes. From our doorstep you can find a mixture of short walks, taking in some beautiful scenery or to the other extreme - The Cateran Trail. This 64 mile trail takes you through Perthshire & The Angus Glens. It has been split into sections making it easier to do just a section at a time. However each year the town enjoys The Cateran Yomp, a charity event which will undertake to complete 54 miles in 24 hours.

The roads in Scotland are just magnificent, and are great for motorcyclists. We are so lucky to have the Snow Roads Scenic Route starting in Blairgowrie and taking you on a 90 mile journey to Grantown-on-Spey in the Highlands. The North Coast 500 is also a must do trip and takes in a vast amount of Scottish scenery.

If you enjoy your outdoor experiences again Perthshire has lots on offer. Our guests have enjoyed the local Bowland Trails Huskies, Llama Day, Bird Watching, Beaver Trips, & The Land Rover Experience. If you are interested in taking part in any activities when staying with us get in touch and we can arrange these for you.

Distilleries in Scotland are abundant, and we have several close by. Our nearest is Persie Distillery, in Bridge of Cally, which produces gin, and I can say from experience they are very nice gins. A short distance along the road, is Ogilvy Disillery which produces Vodka, when visiting you can book a tractor and trailer ride around their premises.
